The Intensive Outpatient Program at Rolling Hills is comprised of group therapy and exposure to community resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous. Our program is facilitated by licensed counselors and can bridge the gap between a traditional 28-day program and inpatient psychiatric treatment. In a group setting, individuals learn about mental health, substance use and abuse and how to cope with life’s daily stressors. Groups include relapse prevention, warning signs, understanding emotions and self-esteem.
The goal of the IOP is to promote the highest level of functioning of each patient through interactive education groups, co-occurring counseling groups, outside/consultant speaker groups, a family program and aftercare groups.
When Is Adult IOP the Right Fit?
This program can serve as a step down from inpatient detox or a step up from individual therapy. The program duration is customizable to the individual’s needs, but in most cases can last anywhere between four to six weeks.
