Guidelines for Friends & Family

When someone enters a treatment program, we know they have concerned loved ones who want to stay connected. Rolling Hills Hospital has put visitation plans and policies in place, created with both patients and family members in mind. Read on for guidelines to make the most of your visits.

Visiting Hours

We welcome family and friends to visit their loved ones while at Rolling Hills. Visiting hours vary from unit to unit, so see below for specifics. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask a staff member or contact us for more information.

ADOLESCENT UNIT 1 & 2

Our goal is to offer families, significant others, and loved ones, the opportunity for social visitation with our patients while maintaining a safe environment.

Important Visitation Rules & Guidelines

All visitors should arrive 10 minutes prior to the scheduled visitation times. Enter the building via the Main Lobby entrance at the front of the building on the left.

  • Visitors are encouraged to park behind the building to preserve front parking lot for our admissions department.
  • Only 2 visitors are allowed per Visitation Session.
  • Visitation is limited to persons ages 16 and older. One visitor must be 18 years of age or older. All visitors for the Intensive Treatment Units must be at least 18 years old.
  • No outside food or beverages are permitted during visitation.
  • Visitors must leave all personal belongings in their vehicles: No cell phones, purses, billfolds/wallets, pocketknives, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or other personal items are permitted.
  • Visitors may only have their vehicle keys on their person (Mace, pepper spray, pocketknives, or other personal self-defense items must be removed from key rings prior to entering the building).
  • ALL visitors must wear masks while in the facility to reduce transmission of infectious illnesses.
  • Individuals experiencing the following symptoms will not be permitted to visit:
    • Fevers or Chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of Breath/Difficulty Breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or Body Aches Headache
    • New Loss of Taste or Smell
    • Sore Throat Congestion or Runny Nose
    • Nausea or Vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  • No gifts, flowers, stuffed animals, candy, and/or balloons are allowed. No additional patient belongings items may be brought in during visitation unless Nursing Staff have specifically requested additional items.

At the end of the visitation, you will be given an opportunity to complete a Visitor Feedback Form. We would like your input and observations regarding your loved one. You will be able to document your requests for information from the Clinical Team. A staff member will follow up with you via telephone as soon as possible.
