Adult Intensive Treatment

Supportive Mental Health Care for Adults

There are times when our emotions can dominate our existence. Those experiencing critical behavioral health symptoms, such as psychosis and other severe and persistent mental illness, may at times feel like they no longer have control over their feelings, thoughts and disposition. This can sometimes lead to the inability to relate to others. When faced with circumstances too daunting to overcome, seek the support and guidance of the professionals at Rolling Hills Hospital.

Adult Male Patient

Severe and persistent mental illness is a biological phenomenon in which symptoms can be fleeting in nature as a response to stress and physical changes in the brain. As a result, people with complex behavioral health issues may be able to function independently for an extended period of time but need extensive support to regain their sense of self. In these instances, intensive treatment can positively impact one’s quality of life.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Rolling Hills Hospital offers an intensive treatment program led by highly qualified mental health professionals. Our team focuses on developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain control over their lives. Our Intensive Treatment Program is designed for adults 18 and over with severe and persistent emotional, behavioral or psychological conditions that interfere with their ability to function on a daily basis. These patients often experience significant impairment in social, emotional and/or cognitive function, resulting in an inability to make choices based on consequences or organize thoughts in a comprehensible manner. They may also experience reality distortion. Because these complex symptoms are often chronic in nature, patients typically need intensive treatment to cope with life stressors.

Individuals with the following diagnoses may benefit from the Intensive Treatment Program:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Cognitive disorders
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Obsessive-compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Personality disorders
  • Serious anxiety disorders
